In that moment, there was little Lucy wanted more -- aside from this still somehow working out -- than to tell Ryan that it was okay if he wanted to go back to Marissa. It'd hurt, yes, but she could deal with it. She'd understand. Reuniting with a once-dead ex wasn't remotely the same as cheating on her with one of her best friends. This place did strange things, and if the two of them weren't meant to work out, they wouldn't. She had been through enough before that while she wouldn't have liked it, she'd be able to cope. Besides, she cared about him -- and, she presumed, he did for her -- enough to be convinced they'd be able to stay friends, anyway.
